Great place to bring the family for a day camping trip, nice hiking trail to the river area.

Lovely place close to the city. You could actually head from Elora through the trail by the dam into the park (local secret). Even that part is lovely to walk and wade in the water. There is tubing but get there early as it is very popular on sunny summer days. Campsites are very close and allow for very little privacy but great for children. Great day event for walking.

After realizing that the Provincial and National Parks were all full, we decided to try a park that was closer to home. We had a beautiful and private campsite, with the Gorge right behind us. There are so many things to do, including hiking, tubing, swimming, visiting the quaint village of Elora and there's even a play structure and a tiny sports field. By far one of the nicest developed campsites I've ever stayed at.
